La Vergne, TN — The Rutherford County community is mourning the tragic and untimely death of Noah Taylor, a 22-year-old from Smyrna, who was killed in a crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 24 near Waldron Road. Authorities have now confirmed the incident is being investigated as a murder, and detectives are urgently seeking dashcam footage and witness information to aid in the investigation.
According to Detective Thomas Burnett of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Noah was driving toward Nashville around 7:30 a.m. when the fatal incident occurred. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, but detectives believe additional evidence from surrounding vehicles could be critical in identifying what led to Noah’s death.
“Dash cam footage would be advantageous,” said Detective Burnett. “We’re especially interested in any footage from Interstate 840 to the Bell Road exit between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning.”
