ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Ala. — A tragic crash early Friday morning claimed the life of Victoria Rodgers, 74, of Saraland, after her vehicle was struck by a Freightliner tractor-trailer.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:01 a.m. on October 24 on I-65 near mile marker 60, about three miles north of Atmore. Authorities said Rodgers’ vehicle left the roadway after the impact, struck a cable barrier, and overturned. Emergency responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Law enforcement officials from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency continue to investigate the crash to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident.
