San Angelo, Texas — A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the San Angelo community following a fatal two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon, November 2, that claimed the life of 21-year-old Steven Lake Tucker.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 87 Northbound and FM 2105. A 2008 Ford F-150, driven by a 62-year-old man from San Angelo, was traveling west on FM 2105 when it reportedly failed to yield the right-of-way at the stop sign. The vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a 2002 Ford F-150, driven by a 19-year-old San Angelo man traveling north on U.S. 87.
Steven Lake Tucker was a passenger in the 2008 Ford. Despite immediate response from first responders, he tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was pronounced deceased by Dr. Mavromaus.
Authorities reported that the weather was clear and dry at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
