CAMDEN, N.J. — The city of Camden is heartbroken following the tragic loss of 26-year-old Premire Wilson, who was found fatally wounded early Thursday morning in what authorities are now investigating as a homicide.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, officers with the Camden County Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 6:41 a.m. on November 6, 2025, in the 1200 block of Chase Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive man on the porch of a residence. The victim was later identified as Premire Wilson of Camden.

Emergency responders immediately provided medical care and rushed Wilson to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, he was sadly pronounced dead at 7:25 a.m., leaving his loved ones and community devastated.

Detectives have not yet determined what led to the shooting, and no arrests have been made at this time. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department are actively investigating, gathering evidence, reviewing surveillance footage, and speaking with witnesses in hopes of uncovering the truth behind this senseless tragedy.

The scene on Chase Street was cordoned off for several hours Thursday morning as investigators examined the area. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that even the smallest detail could be crucial.
