PORTLAND, Ore — The Portland Police Department is actively investigating a fatal crash in southeast Portland that claimed the life of BandMann Bino early Friday morning. The incident occurred after Bino reportedly fled from police during a traffic stop attempt around 3 a.m. near Southeast 119th Avenue and Southeast Division Street.

According to authorities, officers observed two vehicles driving recklessly in the area. When an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, both vehicles took off before emergency lights were fully activated. Bino’s vehicle was later found crashed into a utility pole at Southeast 148th Avenue and Southeast Division Street, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe he was the only occupant in the car. The second vehicle and driver remain at large.

The Portland Police Department, along with traffic investigators, is examining the circumstances of the pursuit and the crash. Officials are reviewing vehicle movements, witness statements, and surveillance footage to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the fatal collision. The intersection at Southeast 148th Avenue and Division Street was temporarily closed while evidence was documented, and normal traffic flow has since resumed.
