CARROLL COUNTY, Va. — Authorities have confirmed that Joshua Criner, who was reported missing in Carroll County, has been found deceased, according to the Virginia State Police. The cause of death has not yet been released.
Criner was last seen on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Meltons Run Apartments in Galax. He was described by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office as a white male, 5′10″, 170 pounds, with brown eyes and a shaved head.
The sheriff’s office had been actively searching for Joshua, asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
