AIKEN, S.C — The Aiken community is mourning the loss of 36-year-old Xavier Hall, who tragically lost his life in an early morning shooting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
According to the Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS), officers responded to a report of gunfire around 3:18 a.m. on the 1200 block of Aldrich Street. When officers arrived, they discovered Hall suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts at the scene, he was pronounced deceased by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office at approximately 4:45 a.m.
The area was quickly secured as investigators began processing the scene and gathering evidence. Detectives spent several hours interviewing neighbors and collecting witness statements in an effort to piece together what led up to the deadly shooting. Authorities confirmed that one individual has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, though their name has not yet been released pending further investigation.
Friends and family members of Xavier Hall describe him as a kindhearted, loyal man who always went out of his way to help those around him. His sudden death has left many in shock and grief, as word of the tragedy spread throughout the community Wednesday morning.
“Xavier was one of those people who could light up a room,” one friend shared on social media. “He didn’t deserve this. None of us can believe he’s gone.”
