It is with heavy hearts that the Duncannon community mourns the passing of 49-year-old Kenneth E. Heffley Jr., who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon in Wheatfield Township, Perry County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred just before 4 p.m. on Sulphur Springs Road. Investigators say Kenneth was driving his 2016 Kia Forte northbound when the vehicle suddenly crossed into the opposite lane and veered off the road, colliding with a tree. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene and transported him to Holy Spirit Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that evening around 11:45 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved.
