FAIRFAX, VA — With heavy hearts, Fairfax County authorities have confirmed the death of 33-year-old Nicole Ayilola of Fairfax, who was struck by a vehicle Monday evening on Route 29 in Fair Oaks. The tragic incident has left the community mourning the loss of a life cut far too short.
According to Fairfax County police, officers responded around 6:39 p.m. to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Route 29 and Forum Drive. Investigators determined that a 2018 BMW, traveling northbound on Route 29, struck Ayilola as she was crossing the roadway near Forum Drive.
