BRONX, NY – July 15, 2025 — The Williamsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx is reeling from a devastating act of violence that claimed the life of 16-year-old Aliyah Williams, who was fatally stabbed multiple times on Tuesday afternoon in what authorities are calling a brutal and senseless attack.
At approximately 3:56 PM, officers from the 47th Precinct responded to an emergency call at a deli and grocery store located at 3511 Boston Road. Upon arrival, police discovered the teenage victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to her head and body. EMS responded to the scene and rushed Aliyah to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to the severity of her injuries.
According to initial reports, members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit worked swiftly to secure the area, marking and photographing blood evidence found both inside and outside the store as they began their detailed forensic investigation. The incident has left many in the tight-knit community heartbroken, as the circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities have not released information about potential suspects or motives, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward. The violent nature of the attack—targeting a young girl in broad daylight—has prompted heightened concern among residents and local leaders.
Aliyah Williams is being remembered as a vibrant young soul with her whole life ahead of her. Friends and neighbors described her as kind-hearted, full of promise, and deeply loved by those around her. A growing memorial of candles, flowers, and handwritten messages now lines the sidewalk outside the store where her life was tragically taken.
