In Loving Memory of Samuele Privitera (2006–2025)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Samuele Privitera, a rising star in the world of cycling and a beloved member of our Hagens Berman Jayco family. Samuele tragically lost his life following a crash during the Giro della Valle d’Aosta—a race that represented the kind of challenge he lived for, and one in which he gave everything with passion, courage, and heart.

At just 19 years old, Samuele embodied all that is beautiful about this sport. He was not only gifted on the bike—he was a radiant presence off of it. His joy was contagious. His smile, constant. His love for life and those around him—undeniable.

To know Samuele was to feel his energy. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, of turning ordinary moments into laughter-filled memories. Whether riding through the mountains, posing for the camera, joking with teammates, or calling home to speak with his family, Samuele approached every moment with warmth, humility, and heart.

He was the soul of our team. A brother. A friend. A light.

The loss of Samuele is not just a tragedy for cycling, but a deeply personal loss for all of us who were lucky enough to call him teammate and friend. He was, and always will be, irreplaceable. The silence left in his absence is overwhelming, but the love we feel for him—and the legacy he leaves behind—is everlasting.

To Samuele’s parents, family, and loved ones: our hearts are with you. We are grieving beside you, praying for your comfort and strength in these incredibly difficult days. Thank you for sharing him with us.

To our community, supporters, and fellow teams: thank you for standing with us, for honoring Samuele’s memory, and for holding space in your hearts for the young man we lost far too soon.

Rest in peace, Samuele.

Your spirit rides on in every mile we cover, in every smile we share, and in the team you helped shape with your light.

You will always be one of us.

Forever part of the Hagens Berman Jayco family.
