In Memory of Life Member Carl Kerber

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Rock Hill Fire Department mourns the passing of Life Member Carl Kerber.

Carl joined our department on October 2, 1975, and from that day forward, he served our community with unwavering dedication, integrity, and heart. Over the decades, he filled many roles within the department—each marked by his steady presence, quiet strength, and genuine care for others.

Though Carl was not an active firefighter at the time of his passing, he remained a treasured part of the RHFD family. Whether helping around the station, offering words of encouragement, or showing up just when we needed him most, Carl’s support never wavered. He led not with loud words, but with consistent actions—earning the respect and admiration of every firefighter who had the honor of serving alongside him.

Carl Kerber’s legacy is woven into the fabric of this department. He represented the very best of what it means to serve—with humility, honor, and heart. His kindness touched many lives, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kerber family as they navigate this time of loss. Please know you have the full support and love of our brotherhood and sisterhood behind you.

Rest easy, Carl. We’ll take it from here.
