In Loving Memory of Robert M. Stevens


With heavy hearts, the Slate Branch Community of Somerset, Kentucky mourns the loss of Robert M. Stevens, who passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the age of 58.

Born on March 1, 1967, in Augsburg, Germany, to Everett Stevens and Connie Moore Stevens, Robert carried with him a quiet strength, a curious mind, and a deep love for his family and faith. He was a proud member of the Baptist faith and lived a life filled with simple joys and meaningful connections.

Robert was known for his passion for collecting—an avid collector with a sharp eye for treasures. He also had a great love for electronics, enjoyed traveling in an RV, and most of all, cherished time spent with his beloved family. His kind heart and unique spirit touched many, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Stevens.

He is survived by his loving mother, Connie Stevens, of the Slate Branch Community, and a host of extended family members who will forever treasure his memory, including:

  • Cousins: Pam Harris (Mike), Debbie Mick, Ann Pittman (Ricky), Vickie Lay, and Larry Taylor (Pam)
  • Aunt: Helen Petrey

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Zandell Hasty.

Burial will take place at Southern Oaks Cemetery.

Though he has departed this world, Robert’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace and may his journey onward be filled with light.
