Obituary for Robert L. Lynn

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert L. Lynn, who tragically lost his life on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the age of 35, following a fatal vehicle accident near the Wolftever Bridge in Harrison Bay, Tennessee.

Robert was a vibrant, caring individual whose life was cut short far too soon. Known for his generous spirit and big heart, Robert touched the lives of many who knew him. His family, friends, and community are devastated by this sudden loss.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Robert’s vehicle became submerged in the waters of Harrison Bay. In a courageous effort, four deputies entered the water immediately upon arrival, alongside brave personnel from the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas Bay Fire & Rescue, Hamilton County STARS, TWRA, Tennessee State Parks, and HCEMS, all working tirelessly in the attempt to rescue him. Despite their heroic efforts, time was tragically not on their side.

Sheriff Austin Garrett shared heartfelt words in the aftermath of the incident:

“Today I watched as my deputies, along with personnel from multiple first responder agencies, worked feverishly to save lives, as they do every day. Sadly, time worked against us and their efforts would ultimately become a recovery operation. As Sheriff, to say I am proud of the incredible first responders in this county would be an understatement. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Mr. Lynn.”

Robert will be remembered for his kindness, his infectious smile, and his love for those closest to him. He lived his life with purpose and heart, and his absence leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation, but the memory of Robert L. Lynn will endure forever.

Our deepest condolences go out to Robert’s family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his loved ones find strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Further details regarding memorial services will be shared by the family
