Louisville, Kentucky, It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Carl Jackson, age 54, who was fatally shot in the early morning hours of Friday, July 18, 2025, in Louisville’s Algonquin neighborhood. Carl was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after 6 a.m. that morning.

Born and raised in Louisville, Carl was a beloved member of the community—a man known for his quiet strength, easy smile, and steady presence. Family, friends, and neighbors remember him as someone who cared deeply for those around him, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement.
