It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Hinkler, 86, of Greenville, South Carolina, who tragically lost his life on the morning of Saturday, July 19, 2025, following a pedestrian accident near the intersection of Roper Mountain Road and Green Arbor Lane.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Anthony was struck by a vehicle while walking shortly before 8 a.m. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:16 a.m. An external examination determined that Anthony died from multiple blunt force injuries. His death has been ruled accidental.

Anthony was a longtime resident of the Greenville community, where he was known for his quiet presence, kind demeanor, and daily walks around the neighborhood.
