Allen Sharpshire, 41, Fatally Shot in Northeast D.C. Following Domestic Disturbance

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department has identified 41-year-old Allen Sharpshire of Northeast, D.C., as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, July 18, 2025.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving roommates at an apartment in the 100 block of Fort Drive, NE, at approximately 12:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Sharpshire inside the residence suffering from an unspecified injury.

DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, Sharpshire was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Following a medical examination, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that Sharpshire died from a gunshot wound and officially ruled his death a homicide.

The incident remains under active investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department. Authorities have not yet released details regarding possible suspects or arrests connected to the case.
