In Loving Memory of Heather Young

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Heather Young  a devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister, and loyal friend  whose spirit touched all who knew her. Born and raised in Mississippi, Heather lived a life marked by quiet strength, compassion, and resilience.

Heather dedicated herself to hard work and service, holding numerous roles across communities in Starkville, Mathiston, Eupora, and beyond. From her time as a cleaner at Worker Bees, to preparing meals at BP and Shell USA, to assembling gloves at Anselle Hawkeye Inc., Heather brought diligence and care to every task. Her work was never just a job — it was a reflection of her character: dependable, humble, and always doing her best to provide for those she loved.

She also gave of her time as a volunteer and secretary at the Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge, where her love of nature and stewardship was evident. Her educational journey included studying wildlife and forestry at Holmes Community College — a testament to her deep appreciation for Mississippi’s natural beauty.

Beyond her work and studies, Heather’s most treasured role was that of a mother. Her love for her children was boundless, and she poured her heart into raising them with strength and kindness. Her family will forever hold close her laughter, her nurturing spirit, and the quiet sacrifices she made for their well-being.

Heather’s passing is a profound loss to the Maben community and to all whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, family, and friends, and in the many lives she brightened through her hard work and gentle soul.

May she rest in peace, and may those who mourn her find comfort in the legacy of love she leaves behind.
