Jyisaiah Cuthrell Obituary, Death – Lexington Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

Jyisaiah Cuthrell, 26, tragically lost his life in a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Lexington, North Carolina. The incident, now under active investigation as a homicide, unfolded shortly after midnight on July 24, 2025, in the 200 block of Federal Street.

Lexington police responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Cuthrell on the front porch of a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered life-saving aid until Davidson County EMS arrived. Cuthrell was rushed to Lexington Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead despite emergency efforts.
