Witney, West Oxfordshire — A body has been discovered in connection with the search for a missing 25-year-old man from Witney, Thames Valley Police have confirmed.
The man, known only as Nathan, had recently been reported missing, prompting a search by local authorities. In a statement released on Saturday, police said they believe the body found is that of Nathan. His surname has not been disclosed at this time.
“Some very sad news to bring you this morning,” the police statement read. “We have found a body in the search for missing man Nathan from Witney. We believe the body to be that of Nathan. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by our officers.”
Formal identification has not yet taken place, and the cause of death has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police expressed their condolences to Nathan’s family and thanked the public for their support and assistance during the search.
