Body Found Inside Vehicle Near Schaumburg Performing Arts Center; Police Investigating Possible Connection to Nearby Fatal Shooting
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Schaumburg police have launched an investigation after a body was discovered Saturday evening inside a vehicle parked near the Al Larsen Prairie Center for the Arts, located on Schaumburg Road.
Officers were called to the scene after reports of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. The body, whose identity has not yet been released, was found inside the car. Police shared news of the discovery at approximately 8:15 p.m. on social media, urging the public to avoid the area and seek alternate routes due to ongoing activity at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation. Authorities have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected, but the discovery follows a fatal shooting of a woman that occurred Friday night at a nearby Marriott hotel, raising questions about a possible connection between the two incidents.
