DALLAS, TX – A tragic hit-and-run crash claimed the life of a pedestrian early Sunday morning, July 27, 2025, in the city’s Design District.
Dallas Police officers responded to the scene around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Market Center Boulevard, following reports of a pedestrian being struck. Upon arrival, they discovered a woman with critical injuries lying in the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver responsible for the crash fled the scene before officers arrived and has not yet been located. Authorities are actively working to identify the suspect and determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The Dallas Police Department urges anyone with information related to the incident, including witnesses or those with surveillance footage from the area, to come forward and assist in the investigation.
This heartbreaking loss has left the community shaken and calls renewed attention to the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of staying at the scene in the event of an accident.
