DETROIT, MI – A heartbreaking scene unfolded in Detroit after a 6-year-old child was shot in the head in the 17400 block of Anglin Street, prompting a swift response from emergency services and a flood of concern from the community.
According to the Detroit Police Department’s 11th Precinct, officers were dispatched to the scene after Shot Spotter technology detected multiple gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, first responders discovered the young child suffering from a gunshot wound, reportedly bleeding from the head.
Detroit Fire Department’s Engine 56 and DEMS Medic 8 provided immediate medical assistance before rushing the child to Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
