17-Year-Old Killed in Early Morning Crash Near Bethlehem Schools, Police Investigating

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, PA (June 1, 2025) — A tragic crash early Sunday morning claimed the life of a 17-year-old male in Bethlehem Township, according to local authorities.

At approximately 1:28 a.m., Bethlehem Township Police responded to the 3000 block of Chester Road, near Freedom High School and East Hills Middle School, following reports of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian crash involving a group of teenagers and two vehicles.

During the incident, the 17-year-old male collided with a parked vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency medical assistance was provided by Bethlehem Township EMS, and the Northampton County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. The office of Coroner Zachary Lysek is currently leading the investigation.

At this time, authorities have not released the victim’s identity or further details regarding the circumstances leading to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
