Gary Alvord Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Alvord and Thelma Alvord (Bennett); and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Pam; his children, Jen Corkrean (Patrick) of Des Moines and Andi Laine (Jamie) of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Kate, Erin Corkrean, Will, Max and Lily Laine; and his brother Mark Alvord of Ankeny.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Echo Valley Country Club (3150 Echo Valley Dr, Norwalk, IA 50211). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the East High School Alumni Foundation or Lutheran Church of Hope.
