Rickie Taylor Identified as Victim in Fatal Long Beach Shooting; Police Seek Public’s Help

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot late Thursday night in the Coolidge Park neighborhood of Long Beach as 27-year-old Rickie Taylor.

According to Long Beach Police Department officials, officers responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Bort Street around 11:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Taylor suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Emergency medical personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department transported Taylor to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The case has been assigned to homicide detectives, and the investigation remains ongoing. As of Friday, no suspect information has been released, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
