Aliyah Miles Killed in Fatal Fort Worth Shooting; Investigation Underway

FORT WORTH, Texas — A woman was fatally shot and another was injured in a violent early morning shooting at a Fort Worth apartment complex on Sunday, August 3, 2025, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

Authorities have identified the deceased victim as Aliyah Miles. Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3:45 a.m. in the 1800 block of E. Robert Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Miles inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

Preliminary details suggest that Miles and a second woman—who was driving the vehicle—had arrived at the apartment complex intending to confront a group of women already at the location. As their vehicle approached, unidentified suspects opened fire, striking both the vehicle and its occupants.

The surviving victim was injured and later transported to a hospital. Shortly after the incident, another gunshot victim—believed to be connected to the same shooting—also arrived at a hospital. Authorities have not released that individual’s identity or condition.

Police say all parties involved fled the scene following the shooting, and no arrests have been made at this time. The Fort Worth Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
