20-Year-Old Jermaine Williams Jr. Found Shot and Killed Inside Overturned Vehicle in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO – A tragic scene unfolded Saturday afternoon in North St. Louis, where a young man was found shot to death inside a crashed vehicle. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating the incident as a homicide.

Just after 1:00 p.m., officers from District 5 responded to reports of a vehicle crash with injuries in the 5000 block of Hebert Street. When officers arrived, they discovered a Chevrolet Malibu flipped onto its side. Inside the wreckage, they found 20-year-old Jermaine Williams Jr. of Florissant, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics pronounced Williams dead at the scene. The details surrounding the shooting remain unclear—investigators are working to determine if the shooting occurred before or after the crash.
