Arrests Made in Ongoing Shooting Investigation

Fayetteville, N.C. – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department have made two arrests in connection with the shooting that took place on May 21, 2025, at the Wendy’s restaurant located at 2070 Skibo Road.

A juvenile suspect has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. Detectives secured and served a custody order for the juvenile, who is currently in custody.

Additionally, Quincy Case, an 18-year-old Black male, has been arrested and charged with the following offenses related to the incident:

  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
  • Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property

Case was apprehended on June 1, 2025, following a vehicle pursuit initiated by Fayetteville Police officers. The pursuit began after Case failed to stop during a traffic stop. As a result of the incident, Case is facing several additional charges:

  • Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
  • Felony Flee to Elude
  • Careless and Reckless Driving
  • Operating a Vehicle Without a Driver’s License

He is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
