KINGSTREE, S.C. — With heavy hearts and a community in mourning, we remember and honor the lives of Mycheal Edwards-Wallace, 18, and Edwin Cooper, 16 — two bright young souls whose journeys were tragically cut short in a devastating act of violence.

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, tragedy struck at the Kings Crossing Apartment Complex in Kingstree, South Carolina. What should have been an ordinary evening turned into a moment that has left families shattered, friends grieving, and a town struggling to understand the senselessness of the loss.

Mycheal and Edwin were more than just names in a news headline. Mycheal, full of ambition and kindness, had recently graduated and was preparing for his next steps in life. Edwin, only 16, had dreams that reached far beyond Kingstree — a spirited teen known for his smile and generous heart. Both were loved deeply by their families and peers and had so much more to offer the world.

As the community gathers in candlelight vigils, prayer circles, and moments of silence, their memory lives on — not only in the tears we shed, but in the stories we tell of their joy, their laughter, and the dreams they held close.

Law enforcement continues to investigate this heartbreaking incident, and the town of Kingstree stands united in seeking justice and healing. Eutaw, Alabama, With profound sorrow, we announce the untimely passing of Lorenzo Cherry Jr., who tragically lost his life on July 8, 2025, at the age of 34, following a devastating accident on Interstate 59 near his hometown of Eutaw, Alabama.

Lorenzo’s life was a reflection of warmth, energy, and resilience. Those who knew him remember a man full of life—always quick with a smile and never far from laughter. Whether surrounded by family or among friends, Lorenzo had a magnetic personality that lifted the spirits of everyone around him.

The accident involved a collision between a small passenger vehicle and a larger pickup truck, both of which caught fire following the impact. The tragic event has left the community in mourning and his loved ones in deep grief.

Chicopee, MA, It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ashley Nicole Midura, who left us far too soon on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 26. Ashley passed away peacefully at her home in Chicopee, the city where she was born, raised, and loved throughout her life.

Born on May 10, 1999, Ashley was the beloved daughter of Lisa A. (Pirog) Midura and the late A.J. Midura. A 2017 graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School, Ashley was known for her kind spirit, gentle heart, and her deep love for animals—especially her two cherished cats, Licorice and Starling. Her compassion for animals was just one reflection of her warm and nurturing soul.

Ashley’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people she loved. Whether spending time at home or gathering with family, her presence brought light, laughter, and love. Her loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her father, A.J. Midura, Ashley was predeceased by her twin brother, Logan J. Midura; her maternal grandfather, John Pirog; and her paternal grandparents, Genevieve Midura and John Sullivan.

She is survived by her devoted mother, Lisa A. Midura and her partner, David Amlaw; her loving brothers, Tyler J. Midura and his fiancée, Vanessa Ruiz, and Jake H. Midura; her treasured grandmother, Gail Pirog; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will continue to carry her memory forward with love and affection.

Calling hours to celebrate Ashley’s life will be held on Thursday, July 10th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front Street, Chicopee. A private committal service and burial will be held at a later date at St. Stanislaus Cemetery for family.

North Haven, Connecticut, With deep sorrow, we share the tragic passing of Anthony Michael Rapuano, of North Haven, CT, who lost his life in a devastating automobile accident on the night of July 7, 2025.

The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Old Cemetery Road in Durham, when Anthony’s vehicle unexpectedly veered from its lane and struck multiple roadside structures. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but sadly, Anthony could not be saved.

A longtime resident of North Haven, Anthony was known for his warm spirit, loyalty, and deep care for his family and community. His sudden and heartbreaking loss has left a lasting void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

The Connecticut State Police continue to investigate the incident and urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant information to come forward.

As his loved ones grieve this unimaginable loss, they respectfully ask for privacy and compassion during this difficult time. Plans to celebrate Anthony’s life will be shared by the family in the coming days.

With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Dennis “Richard” Carlisle, who went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 30, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Leslie and Louise Carlisle, Richard’s legacy is defined by faith, family, hard work, and unwavering integrity.

A devoted husband, father, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, uncle, and friend, Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Linda Lowrie Carlisle, and their children: Rena Alber, Sandra Carlisle, Vicki Yutterman (Kevin), and Rick Carlisle (Heidi). His life’s joy expanded through eleven grandchildren—Heather, Chris, and Nick Alber; Taylor Chase (Preston); Jessica Yutterman; Laykan Rutherford; Brandon Yutterman; Kent, Ruby, Londyn, and Lydia Carlisle—and five great-grandsons: Harmon and Hutton Chase, Rayce and Charlie Rutherford, and Carson Korkames, with one precious great-granddaughter, Heidi Mae Chase, expected in November 2025.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, siblings—Sylvia Furr, Edward, Marvin, and Russell Carlisle—and granddaughters Katie and Christa Smith.

Richard was the epitome of a family man. Whether he was hunting, cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks, strumming his guitar, or attending his grandchildren’s many events, he brought joy, laughter, and love into every moment. He also enjoyed boat rides, classic country music, and time spent with cherished groups like the Jack Patch crew and the Dirty Dozen.

In 1977, Richard co-founded Northwest Fire Protection, Inc., and in 1978, moved his family to Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he laid the foundation for a business built on honesty, humility, and loyalty. Under his leadership, the company became not only a trusted name in fire protection but a second home for employees—many of whom remained with him for decades.

Richard’s community contributions were equally impactful. He was a proud Mason with over 40 years in the Coldwater, Mississippi Lodge, a long-time member of the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair Committee, and served with distinction on the Arkansas Fire Protection Licensing Board.

Richard Carlisle will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for his kind heart, steadfast faith, and deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, generosity, and purpose that will live on in the countless lives he touched.
