HERSHEY, PA — A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded Thursday evening at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania, where a 9-year-old child died following an incident at The Boardwalk, the park’s water park area.

JACKSON, MN — A tragic motorcycle crash in Jackson Tuesday evening has claimed the life of 48-year-old Jason Mekosch, a resident of Jackson. The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and Bailey Street.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Shawn Haken, the crash involved a 2017 Ford Fusion driven by a teenager and a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Mekosch. Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Highway 71 when the Ford Fusion signaled to make a right turn onto Bailey Street. As the Fusion began the turn, Mekosch reportedly attempted to pass on the right, clipped the vehicle, and then struck a light pole.
