ATLANTA, Ga. — One person is dead and several others are injured following a shooting Thursday night in southeast Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 200 block of Oak Drive, where they discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities confirmed.

Investigators believe the Oak Drive shooting is connected to a second scene on Mount Zion Road, located just minutes away. At this time, police have not released details regarding the number or condition of any potential victims from the Mount Zion Road location.

The motive behind the violence is currently unknown, and no suspect information has been released. Detectives are actively working both scenes and canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage.

BUCKNER, Ky. — A tragic domestic violence incident in Buckner has left a father and son dead following a shooting that occurred just after midnight on July 24, according to the Oldham County Police Department.

Authorities responded to a residence on Clare Cove at approximately 12:27 a.m., after receiving a 911 call from a juvenile inside the home. The caller reported a violent physical altercation in progress between her 47-year-old father, Nadeem Pasha, and her 17-year-old brother, Elizjah Pasha.

When officers arrived, they immediately located the caller outside the residence and ensured her safety before entering the home. Inside, officers discovered both Nadeem and Elizjah suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by Oldham County EMS, both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

“All parties in the home are accounted for, and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” officials stated in a release issued at 11:33 a.m. on July 24.

The incident remains under active investigation. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting or who may have fired the weapon.

CAMPBELL’S ISLAND, Ill. — On the evening of July 24, 2025, at approximately 6:39 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to Campbell’s Island following reports of a person who had fallen into the Mississippi River.

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. — A violent home invasion and shooting in Beverly Hills on the evening of July 19, 2025, has led to the arrest of 20-year-old Elijah Jacob Foster, who now faces multiple felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on North Washington Street following a 911 call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, they found two victims: a female who had been inside the home during the incident, and a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the neck, arm, hand, and groin.

Investigators say the suspect, later identified as Foster, confronted the female victim outside the home and forced entry at gunpoint. Once inside, he moved toward the rear of the house where he encountered the male victim and opened fire. Despite his injuries, the male victim managed to flee to a neighbor’s home to seek help.

Foster was located shortly after the shooting and arrested without incident. He was positively identified by both victims.

The male victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition remains unknown.

“This kind of violence has no place in our community,” said Sheriff David Vincent. “Thanks to the swift actions of our deputies, we were able to identify and apprehend the suspect quickly. Our agency remains committed to protecting our citizens and ensuring violent offenders are held fully accountable.”

Elijah Jacob Foster has been booked into the Citrus County Detention Facility and is being held without bond. He is charged with:

FLORIDA — A Florida mother has been officially indicted on charges of capital murder and aggravated child abuse in the horrific death of her 7-year-old daughter, Nia Williams.

The mother, Naikishia Williams, is accused of inflicting fatal injuries on her daughter by kicking her with such force that it caused her internal organs to rupture. According to investigators, the child died from blunt force trauma so severe that it led to a lacerated liver and massive internal bleeding. EASTPOINTE, Mich. — A 19-year-old woman has been charged with multiple felonies following a deadly shooting outside a Foot Locker in Eastpointe on May 3, 2025, that left two people dead and two others injured.

According to the Eastpointe Police Department, the incident unfolded around 2:50 p.m. in the parking lot near 8 Mile and Kelly roads and was captured on CCTV surveillance footage.

The shooter, identified as Lakylia Taylor, allegedly opened fire during a confrontation between two groups who were known to each other. Investigators say the violence erupted after Taylor’s brother, Dejuan Taylor, 21, was attacked by Tyjaune Morris-Turner, who was reportedly armed.

Claiming self-defense, Lakylia Taylor fired at point-blank range, killing Tyjaune Morris-Turner and Javon Gardin Jr., and injuring another individual. Authorities say Dejuan Taylor then took the firearm and fled the scene with his sister.

Taylor was taken into custody and formally charged on May 8 with the following:

• Second-degree murder
• Assault with intent to murder
• Tampering with evidence
• Multiple firearm-related offenses

She is currently being held on a $2.5 million bond.

LARKFIELD, CA — A woman has been arrested following a targeted shooting incident earlier this month in the Larkfield area of Sonoma County.

On July 15, 2025, deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired at a home on the 5000 block of Arnica Way. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered multiple shotgun pellet holes in the front door of an occupied residence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, authorities identified 34-year-old Kelly Sullivan of Windsor as the suspected shooter. Detectives believe the incident was not random, but rather a deliberate act directed at the occupants of the home.

On July 24, a search warrant was executed at Sullivan’s residence, where deputies recovered a shotgun believed to have been used in the shooting.

Sullivan, who was on probation at the time, was arrested on charges of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and probation violation. She is currently being held at the Sonoma County Jail on $25,000 bail.
