Calvin Hyatt, 68, of Waynesboro, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1957, in Amarillo, Texas, Calvin brought a warmth and devotion to life that deeply touched everyone who knew him.

He was the beloved son of Rev. William “Bill” Hyatt and Dorothy “Dean” Hyatt Johnson. A hard-working and dedicated man, Calvin built a life through his trade as a self-employed concrete finisher—crafting not just foundations, but a legacy of resilience and pride. Those who knew Calvin will remember his strong hands, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family.

Calvin is preceded in death by his father, Rev. William “Bill” Hyatt. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Lynn Hyatt of Waynesboro, MS; his mother, Dorothy “Dean” Hyatt Johnson of Laurel, MS; two sons, Chase Hyatt of Waynesboro, MS, and John Hyatt of Laurel, MS; two daughters, Jennifer Spivery (R.J.) and Kyla Hyatt, both of Waynesboro, MS; two brothers, Willie Hyatt (Monica) of Seminary, MS, and Chris Hyatt of Laurel, MS; and six cherished grandchildren: Bentley Jones, Kylan Dumas, Gracelynn Hyatt, Anna Hyatt, Saint Dumas, and Jentri Spivery.

A man of deep family values, Calvin found his greatest joy in the love and laughter of his children and grandchildren. Whether it was sharing stories, working with his hands, or simply sitting on the porch with Lynn, Calvin embraced life with humility, strength, and grace.

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Calvin’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS, with Rev. Bo Farrior officiating. Interment will follow at White House Cemetery.

The crash occurred shortly after 11 p.m. near the intersection of the John F. Kennedy Expressway and O Street.

Jose was riding his 2006 Victory Vegas motorcycle northbound when a collision occurred with a 2011 BMW sedan. The impact of the crash ejected him from the motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirmed that Jose was wearing a helmet at the time, highlighting the severity of the impact.

Born and raised in Fremont, Jose was known for his adventurous spirit, love of motorcycles, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family. He had a kind heart, a contagious laugh, and a passion for life that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. With heavy hearts, we mourn the tragic and untimely passing of Sinay Lopez, 27, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, who lost her life in a domestic violence incident on Thursday, July 18, 2025, in west Wichita, Kansas.

Sinay was the first to call 911 that afternoon, seeking help during a moment of fear and danger. Despite a language barrier that complicated communication, she showed courage in trying to protect herself and those around her. Sadly, just 20 minutes after placing the emergency call, Sinay was fatally attacked upon returning to the residence where the violence occurred.

When police arrived at the scene on the 6300 block of West Kellogg, they found a woman outside with non-life-threatening injuries and located Sinay inside the apartment with multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive.

Sinay’s suspected killer, 25-year-old Edward Millan-Volcan, was taken into custody at the scene. Authorities have since charged him with first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated kidnapping, and child endangerment, among other serious offenses. Police confirmed that Sinay and the suspect shared children, who were tragically present during the incident.

Sinay was a devoted mother whose love for her children was unwavering. Those who knew her speak of her strength, warmth, and vibrant spirit. Her life was full of love and sacrifice, and she worked tirelessly to build a better future for her family. Her death has not only left a devastating void in the lives of her children and loved ones but has also deeply affected the Wichita community.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, who began life-saving measures immediately, Luke was later pronounced deceased at University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center.

Authorities are currently treating the incident as an accidental drowning. No signs of foul play have been found, and the circumstances remain under investigation. At this time, further details surrounding the event have not yet been released.

Luke’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and the broader Chardon community in mourning. Known for his kind spirit and warm heart, Luke was a beloved son, friend, and neighbor whose presence touched many. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on a private pond near County Road 465. Truston was enjoying a summer evening being pulled on a tube by a boat when a sudden accident changed everything. Thrown from the tube, he tragically collided with a partially submerged log. Emergency responders rushed him to a hospital in Poplar Bluff, and he was later airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Despite the heroic efforts of medical teams, Truston passed away from his injuries the following day, July 16.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Butler County Coroner Jim Akers confirmed Truston’s identity and offered heartfelt condolences to the family, who are facing unimaginable grief. The incident remains under investigation but has been ruled an accidental death.

Truston was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. Known for his passion for the outdoors, he loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. She remained in a coma for the past week, surrounded by love and relentless hope. But today, July 18th, after extensive evaluation and consultation, it was determined that the damage to her brain had surpassed the human ability to recover. With unimaginable grief, her loved ones made the decision to let her go.

Roberta was one of those rare people whose presence radiated warmth, strength, and a deep magic that was entirely her own. She carried herself with empathy, grace, and quiet power. She was a fierce advocate for mental health, deeply empathetic, and unflinchingly honest in both her struggles and her victories. For those who knew her, she was more than a friend—she was a light, a lifeline, and often, a guide through darkness.

To her family, friends, and the broader community she uplifted and inspired: thank you for the love and support you’ve shown Roberta, especially in these last days. Your words, prayers, and memories have been a comfort in the face of unspeakable sorrow.
