Chase Stegall, Son of Former NFL Star Milt Stegall, Dies Unexpectedly at 20
CHICAGO, IL — The DePaul University community is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Chase Stegall, a 20-year-old student-athlete and beloved member of the university’s men’s soccer team. Chase, the son of former NFL and CFL standout Milt Stegall, tragically passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Monday, June 2, in his residence hall on DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus.
DePaul University confirmed the news in a statement, calling Chase’s passing a devastating loss to the Blue Demon family. A tribute from the men’s soccer team read, “He will forever be a Blue Demon.”
Chase Stegall was not only a talented soccer player but a dedicated student, teammate, and friend whose presence brightened the lives of those around him. Known for his quiet strength, humility, and unwavering work ethic, he was admired by coaches and loved by his peers.
