Columbia County Firefighter Arrested in Connection with Two Rape Investigations
RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. — A Columbia County firefighter is facing serious charges after being arrested in connection with two separate rape cases.
According to a press release from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO), 20-year-old Zander Ean McDade has been charged with two counts of rape involving two different victims. The alleged assaults occurred at separate times and locations, though specific details have not been disclosed.
McDade, who is currently employed by the Columbia County Fire Department, was taken into custody and is being held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
“These cases remain under active investigation, and no further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigations and the privacy of the victims,” the sheriff’s office stated.
