Community Remembers Farmingville Mother, 28, as ‘A Ray of Sunshine’
FARMINGVILLE, NY — A heartbroken community is mourning the loss of Brenda Ingraham, a 28-year-old mother remembered as a “ray of sunshine” with an infectious smile, boundless energy, and deep love for her children. Brenda tragically lost her life Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash that has left family and friends devastated.
Known for her fun-loving spirit and passion for riding her 2018 Kawasaki Ninja, Brenda was involved in a collision around 1:17 p.m. on Blue Point Road, according to Suffolk County Police. Authorities say a 2018 Ford Explorer, driven by 38-year-old Thomas Biglow of Patchogue, was making a left turn onto Pinedale Avenue when it collided with Brenda’s motorcycle.
Brenda was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, police reported.
To those who knew her, Brenda was more than just a loving mother—she was the heartbeat of her family, known for her silly jokes, adventurous spirit, and unwavering dedication to her children. She brought joy to everyone she met, and her loss has created a profound emptiness.
In the wake of this tragedy, Brenda’s loved ones have come together to raise funds through a GoFundMe campaign to support her children and ensure she receives the farewell she deserves.
“She had the brightest smile, the biggest heart, and lived life full throttle—literally and figuratively,” one family member shared.
As the Farmingville community gathers to remember Brenda, they also reflect on how quickly life can change—and how important it is to hold tight to those we love.
Anyone with additional information about the crash is asked to contact Suffolk County Police as the investigation remains ongoing.
Rest in peace, Brenda. Your light will never fade.
