Dan passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 30, 2025, while performing his duties as a letter carrier in Grand Junction. He was 59 years old.
Dan’s sudden passing has deeply impacted the entire National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), the U.S. Postal Service, and the community he faithfully served for over a decade. His dedication to his route, his union, and his fellow carriers was unwavering. He was known not only for his strong work ethic but also for the warmth he brought to every mailbox, every neighbor, and every coworker.
Dan was more than a postal worker—he was a mentor, a listener, and a friend. His kindness, humility, and sense of humor left lasting impressions on everyone who had the honor to work alongside him. He embodied the spirit of service and carried himself with the dignity and pride of someone who understood the value of community.
