With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jemeire C. Hite, who departed this life on May 28, 2025, at the age of 18. Jemeire’s loss is felt profoundly by his family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
A proud graduate of the Central High School Class of 2025, Jemeire walked across the graduation stage on May 24, just four days before his passing. He did so full of promise, pride, and excitement for the future. Known for his bright smile, kind heart, and strong spirit, Jemeire touched countless lives in his school and community. His memory will remain a lasting part of Central High School and the hearts of those he inspired.
On behalf of Lunenburg County Public Schools, we extend our most heartfelt condolences to Jemeire’s family and loved ones. We grieve with you, and we stand beside you during this difficult time. School counselors and support staff are available to help students and faculty process this tremendous loss and find comfort in community.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Jemeire’s life will be held on June 1, 2025, at Serenity Funeral Home. Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to gather in remembrance and reflection, sharing in the light that Jemeire brought into the world.
As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate his life. Let us remember his laughter, his strength, and the love he gave so freely. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will remain everlasting.
Rest peacefully, Jemeire. You will always be remembered. You will always be loved.
