It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we share the tragic loss of Stephanie (Guerrero) Codina and her beloved son, Antonio “Daddio” Codina, whose lives were taken far too soon in a devastating accident. While parked on the side of the freeway, their vehicle was struck by a semi-truck — an unimaginable tragedy that has shattered the hearts of their family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing them.
Stephanie, lovingly known to many as Steph, was the epitome of grace, strength, and warmth. The “girliest boy mom,” she embraced motherhood with her whole heart, proudly raising her three sons with unwavering love and joy. Her children were her world, and they adored her in return — each day filled with laughter, love, and a bond that only a mother like Steph could create.
She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Tony Codina, a partner in love, faith, and family. Together, they built a home grounded in their shared devotion to God, and filled it with warmth, purpose, and unconditional love. Those who knew Steph and Tony could see the depth of their connection — it radiated through every photo, every memory, and every moment they shared.
Among those moments was the journey of their son, Antonio “Daddio” Codina, a brave and kind-hearted young boy who had just celebrated his 11th birthday. Though this year’s celebration came during his courageous battle with an aggressive form of leukemia, Daddio approached every challenge with a strength and sweetness that inspired all around him. His gentle voice, infectious laugh, and radiant smile left an indelible mark on every heart he touched.
Daddio was a warrior, not only in his fight for health but in the way he embraced life — even in the midst of hardship. His spirit, like his mother’s, was full of light and love.
This tragedy has left a void that can never truly be filled. But in the memories, the laughter, the stories, and the unbreakable bonds they formed with so many, Steph and Daddio’s legacy lives on. They were cherished deeply, and they will be missed beyond words.
