  • Texas Woman Arrested for Allegedly Plotting to Kill Ex-Husband with Fentanyl-Laced Chocolates

PARKER COUNTY, TX – A shocking murder-for-hire scheme has been uncovered in North Texas, where 63-year-old Pamela Jean Stanley was arrested for allegedly planning to poison her ex-husband with fentanyl-injected chocolates.

According to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, investigators acted on a tip from a protected source who reported that Stanley had openly discussed her deadly plan with an acquaintance. The tip prompted authorities to launch an undercover operation, during which Stanley allegedly attempted to procure fentanyl—a potent and often deadly synthetic opioid.

Investigators say Stanley intended to inject the fentanyl into a box of chocolates and mail them to her ex-husband with the goal of causing his death. The operation culminated in her arrest at a local motel, where she was taken into custody. Authorities also found 9.5 grams of methamphetamines in her possession at the time of the arrest.

Stanley now faces multiple felony charges, including criminal solicitation with intent to commit murder. Her bail has been set at $450,000.

“This is a deeply disturbing case that demonstrates the danger of fentanyl and how it continues to be misused in malicious and life-threatening ways,” said a spokesperson from the Sheriff’s Office. “Thanks to swift investigative work and the courage of a source who came forward, a potentially tragic incident was prevented.”

Authorities have not released the identity of the intended victim, who remains unharmed. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.

Anyone with further information about this case is encouraged to contact the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.
