    JASPER, GEORGIA — Ms. Wendy Lea Stanfield, age 62, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025. Born on February 3, 1963, she was the cherished daughter of the late Bobby Jordan and Lorine Poole Jordan.

    Wendy lived a life grounded in faith, guided by compassion, and rich with love. A proud and devoted mother, her greatest joy was her family. She lovingly raised her children with warmth, humor, and strength, and later found immense joy in being a grandmother, always ready with open arms and her famous homemade pecan pies.

    She found beauty in life’s simple pleasures—reading her Bible, thrifting for hidden treasures, and sitting on her porch listening to the creek’s gentle rhythm. Wendy also loved camping beneath the stars, celebrating Christmas with joy, playing pool with family and friends, and preparing her signature holiday dressing. Her spirit was generous and her kindness unyielding. She gave freely—of her time, her love, and her heart—and was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.

    Wendy dreamed of opening a refuge for the hurting and homeless, a space of hope and healing that reflected the same unconditional love she gave throughout her life. Though that dream remains unrealized in brick and mortar, it lives on in the many lives she touched.

    She leaves behind a legacy of selfless love, unforgettable laughter, and unwavering grace. Wendy will be deeply missed by her adoring family and all who had the blessing of knowing her.

    Wendy is survived by her loving children: Raven (Ben) Pope, Desiray Stanfield, Destiny (Jack) Parker, Tia Stanfield, and Shiloh (Gladys) Stanfield; her beloved grandchildren: Cayman Nicholson, Riley Pope, Addy Nicholson, Wyatt Nicholson, Mason Miller, Miles Miller, Willow Barnes, Billie Ann Barnes, Felicity Evans, Zander (Raven) Evans, Jazzman (Brian) Puddick, Brantley Hamrick, Spencer Stanfield, Grayson Stanfield, Lexi Stanfield, Anzley Stanfield, Hayden Roland, and Noah Bagwell; her great-grandchildren: Ryder Evans and Ryker Puddick; siblings: Wanda Young, Wansley Wilson, Wesley Jordan, and Israel (Leighann) Justice.

    A visitation will be held at the family home on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where friends and loved ones are welcome to gather, share stories, and honor Wendy’s life.

    A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Stanfield Family Cemetery, where family members will offer heartfelt testimonies to celebrate Wendy’s enduring love and the incredible life she lived.
