LEONVILLE, LA — A disturbing case of domestic violence has left a 6-year-old child fighting for their life and led to the arrest of Patrick Seth Greene, 37, of Opelousas, Louisiana.
According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, deputies responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance on June 1, 2025, at a residence along Highway 31 in the Leonville area. Upon arrival, officers made a harrowing discovery: a young child suffering from multiple lacerations and stab wounds to the face, neck, and chest.
Greene was reportedly combative with officers at the scene but was ultimately taken into custody. The injured child was rushed to Opelousas General Hospital and then airlifted to a hospital in Baton Rouge with life-threatening injuries.
“This is one of the most heartbreaking cases we’ve encountered,” Sheriff Guidroz stated. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the child and their family. We will pursue justice with the full extent of the law.”
