Raleigh Man Intentionally Swerves Into Traffic During Argument With Wife, Injures Four in Head-On Collision
RALEIGH, NC — A disturbing case of domestic turmoil turned nearly fatal Saturday morning, May 31, 2025, when 33-year-old Andersen Douglas Singleton intentionally drove into oncoming traffic during an argument with his wife, causing a head-on collision that left four people hospitalized.
The crash occurred just after 7:00 a.m. near the intersection of Rock Quarry Road and Fox Ridge Manor. Authorities say Singleton was behind the wheel when he crossed the center line and slammed into a Toyota Camry in a deliberate act reportedly intended to end both his life and his wife’s.
Shocking dashcam footage recorded by a nearby driver, Jorge Bravo, captured the exact moment of impact. In a post-crash interview with WRAL News, Bravo said Singleton made a chilling confession.
“He was telling me he was trying to kill himself and his wife because they were constantly fighting,” Bravo recalled.
All four individuals involved — Singleton, his wife, and two male occupants of the Camry — sustained serious injuries and were transported to WakeMed Hospital for treatment.
Felony Charges Pending
Singleton now faces a series of felony charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and causing serious injury by reckless driving. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, reviewing footage and witness statements.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has not yet confirmed Singleton’s condition, but officials say he will be taken into custody upon release from the hospital.
This terrifying act has left a community shaken and serves as a grim reminder of how domestic violence can escalate into public danger.
