Sudbury, Ontario heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roch Renaud, a cherished member of the Sudbury, Ontario community, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. His departure marks the end of a life filled with kindness, resilience, and an unwavering love for his family, friends, and hometown.
Rocco wasn’t just a student in my classroom, it became a second home for him. I had the privilege of teaching him in 7 courses throughout high school. He was the kind of kid who lit up the room the moment he walked in. Even during COVID, when we were online, Rocco brought energy and laughter, whether he was baking cookies, rescuing a turtle, or nearly setting his house on fire after forgetting about Kraft Dinner on the stove. He was truly a hoot.
He was genuine, hilarious, hardworking, kind, and always full of joy and jokes. If Rocco was in the room, you’d find a crowd, he had a magnetic energy that drew people in.
Renaud family extends their heartfelt thanks for the support and kind words received during this time of sorrow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to a local charity of choice in Roch’s memory, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
