Tragic Marion County Shooting Claims Lives of Teen and Adult, Two Others Injured

MARION COUNTY, S.C. — Heartbreak has gripped the Marion County community following a tragic shooting on Thursday evening that left two people dead — including 16-year-old Kaiden Allen — and two others wounded.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were dispatched to Tubello Court around 7:21 p.m. on May 29, 2025, in response to a call about gunfire. Upon arrival, deputies discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Kaiden Allen, just 16 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, an adult whose name has not yet been released pending family notification, also died from their injuries. The two other victims were rushed to a local hospital. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.

Authorities have not yet released information about the events that led to the shooting, nor have they confirmed whether a suspect has been identified or apprehended. The incident remains under active investigation, with law enforcement continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

“This is a tragic and senseless act of violence that has deeply affected our entire community,” said a spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. “Our hearts go out to the families of the victims, and we are working tirelessly to find answers and bring justice to those impacted.”

The loss of Kaiden Allen has left classmates, neighbors, and local leaders devastated. Described as a kind and respectful young man, Kaiden was a student with dreams and ambitions, now tragically cut short. Area schools are preparing to offer grief counseling and support services to students and staff in the days ahead.

Community members are being asked to assist in the investigation by sharing any information they may have. Tips can be submitted directly to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
