Two Arrested After Overnight Shooting on Elm Street in Manchester
MANCHESTER, NH — Two men are in custody following a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of June 2, 2025, on Elm Street. Manchester Police responded swiftly after hearing gunfire while investigating a separate burglary alarm nearby.
At approximately 1:40 AM, officers were responding to a burglary alarm on Spring Street when they heard two loud bangs coming from the area of Elm Street. Simultaneously, dispatch reported a ShotSpotter activation near 1100 Elm Street, indicating gunfire had occurred.
ShotSpotter, the city’s acoustic gunshot detection system, allowed officers to pinpoint the likely location of the gunshots and respond within moments.
Upon arrival, officers were immediately approached by a witness who shouted “Gun!” and directed their attention toward two men standing near 1087 Elm Street. According to the witness, the two appeared to be involved in a heated argument. One of the men was seen holding a firearm, and the witness believed the two were struggling over the weapon before shots were fired.
Police ordered the individuals to the ground. One man complied without incident, dropping to his knees, while the other required multiple commands before cooperating.
The individuals were identified as:
- Ramon Segura, 36, of Manchester
- Ari Williams, 29, of Manchester
Following the investigation, Segura was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Drug
- Theft of a Lost/Mislaid/Stolen Firearm (believed to have been taken from a motor vehicle)
- Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon
Williams was charged with:
- Disorderly Conduct
No injuries were reported in the incident, and the firearm involved has been recovered by police. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the altercation and shooting.
