It is with great sadness that authorities have identified 25-year-old Autumn Ruby Bishop of Medford as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2025, on Highway 42 near milepost 23 in Coos County.

According to the Oregon State Police, the crash took place at approximately 12:59 p.m. when a silver Ford Mustang, driven by Isaiah Michael Osbon, 23, of Myrtle Point, was traveling westbound and crossed the center line. The Mustang collided head-on with an eastbound gray Honda Civic driven by Christian Anthony Percell, 26, of Medford.

Tragically, Autumn Bishop, a passenger in the Honda, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Percell sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, while Osbon was transported with minor injuries.

Investigators believe fatigue may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Highway 42 was closed for approximately two hours as crews responded and conducted their investigation.

OSP was assisted at the scene by the Myrtle Point Police Department, local fire and ambulance services, and the Oregon Department of Transportation. The investigation remains ongoing as the community mourns the loss of Autumn Ruby Bishop.
